The "n" word (slight spoiler i suppose)

I had read that the "n" word as uttered by Rock (as in "Know him? Niger owes me 10 bucks") was edited out for the wide theatrical release.

I think it was in one of the Catholic League's reviews, like "they edited THAT out not to offend the black man..."

Aparently it was replaced by the word "brother".

'Could be because I saw it in Canada last nite, but it was still there as niger.

Any thoughts?
