Hey Kevin,
Don't know if you still wanted to know about crowd sizes and reaction on this board, but I'm gonna tell you anyway.
I went to the 9:50 show in a sub-urban omaha theater (Cinema 7 in Bellevue NE).
it was in the big room, the one with two aisles instead of the middle one, and the seats were about half full (i'll explain why below). the people who were there were enthusiastic though, and laughed in the right spots (i thought).
Please keep in mind that the omaha world herald is a poorly written and edited newspaper in a 75% Catholic town. their review was not terribly complimentary. the guy did see the whole thing though, cause he made a few spoiler remarks about the last couple of scenes.
Also take into account that the nebraska cornhuskers beat their arch-rival kansas state wildcats (damn it) today so most of omaha's residents were in an extatic coma in front of their big red "N" shrines.
that said, there were probably 60 people in all seven shows at the cinema 7 theater, and about 30 of them were watching Dogma.
my little group and I stayed till the end of the credits and were the last non-employees in the building.
speaking of credits... did you put me in the credits? :) who's this Al Miner you got working for you that isn't me??? heh.
needless to say I enjoied the hell out of myself. thanks again for entertaining me. sweet lord i even took a minute out of my catholic teacher life and thought about my faith. it was weird.
thanks :)
Al
