Well.. just got back from Dogma.
I live in Pittsburgh, where it was filmed. I got to gawk at the filming. I saw the trailers.
I saw the news. Apparently, here in Pittsburgh the Catholic Church has condemned Dogma as blasphamous. 'Un-holy' being a popular word.
Our local news, no more interested in facts then any other local news, has happily interviewed indignant folk waving signs who are proud to say 'No, I've not seen the movie. I don't want to.. it's unholy and should be banned'.
Cut to anchor speculating about possible repurcussions.
Meanwhile I'm cursing at the fuckin' inbred yokel bastard Jesus-freak Bible-thumping which-buring masses. Just 'cause a movie makes fun of religious concepts is no reason to Ban them!
So, since you'ld have to kill me to stop me, even before such a mess, I went to see the movie. I expected something as funny as the first three. And man did i get it.
But I got more. I found the movie to be very spirital, and very strong in it's affirmation of God, his divine mercy, and all that shit.

In short, it's a religiously PRO movie.
The church is condemning it.
and if that doesn't say it all, nothing does.

Kevin, loved the movie. Very bold and inciteful. I bow to your strength to share with us your beliefs.
Can't wait for the Mage one.. you playing Kevin? Or does the forever King run into a couple of blunt-masters from the East?
