I totally agree. There was a definite "Leeness" to a lot of Loki's lines. His take on the "Walrus and Carpenter" would have been classic...
But all the "what if's" aside, I think the film was excellent with the cast that it had. Everyone did a nice job.
It was also nice to see Anderson clerkin' at the gun store.
