Of course they were forgiven. Loki's remorse was obvious, and Bartleby's "I'm sorry", his embrace of and by God, and his "Thank You" are all that were necessary.
You say God's boundless mercy and forgiveness isn't cool? Dude, you frighten me.
Plus, I think God herself showing up negates all the usual "rules". One of the benefits of omnipotence.
