I went to see it here in Boston (well, Brookline actually) and the show was absolutely packed so I had a feeling the numbers would be good. Anyway, there were about 7 protesters outside in the cold and the rain with signs and rosaries and songs and the like (they actually had coffee, but it was from Starbucks, leading my friends to remark "Who's evil now?") They actually did seem nice enough, but it would be nice if they could see the film. I myself didn't find it all that blasphemous. Granted, I'm Jewish, but when I went to see Stigmata I was cringing the whole way through out of empathy for Catholics. You got a bum rap. Anyway, it was a pretty terrific movie and I can't wait for the DVD. Keep up the good work and all that.

nonentity, who wanted to chat with the protestors but didn't want to interrupt their singing.
