I went to the Diabetes Dogma-thon having passed up various NYC and college screenings simply because it was a charity event. Kevin wanted to do something good for the world and I wanted to help him. Then we're told that they'll be giving away "special swag" to all attendees that wouldn't be found anywhere except at the Dogma-thon. Well I just surfed over to the Stash website and what do I see? The very same poster that wasn't supposed to be availible to the general masses. Not only that but it's signed by Kevin AND Jay! Something our posters were not. I completely understand that this was a charity thing but still, that seems (I dunno how to put this tactfully) somewhat low class. I love Kevin's movies (I've seen Dogma twice now) and his comics are wonderful and I've spent crazy cash on his goods but now I feel somewhat cheated. I'll probably get torn to shreds for "bad mouthing" Kevin, but to be honest, I'm not bad mouthing him or anybody at View Askew. Hell, I idolize the man. I'm just moderately ticked off.
