Here's a theory, since Dante was in the Clerks comic book and Clerks Holiday special, (where he visited Caitlin in the nut house after she fucked the guy), then Dante is still alive and will be available to be in a Clerks sequel, if Kevin chooses to use Dante and Randal. Who knows, maybe there will be two new slackers behind the counter. By the time Clerks 2 comes out (if it does), many years will have passed and people, and their personalities will have changed. What was fitting in 1994 might not cook in 2002, which is when I'd say the next film would come out.
