Yes that scene was shot... was that scene the end of the movie?? no..
therefore.. Dante would still be alive..
Just because it's shot.. doesn't mean that it stays part of the story... You'd be SURPRISED on how much is shot for just about ANY movie that isn't used and they end up changing the story...
