Ok, so there I was: New film school grad (Boston U), living in LA. Red Sox somehow make it to the World Series. Everyone at work was ragging me for cheering for the Sox. So what happens? Damn Buckner lets an easy out go through his legs. Sox lose.
And what's up with the crappy fielding now? The catcher can't seem to hold on to the ball long enough to get an easy tag to keep a lead? Sure, the refs suck, but it's hard to argue with a dropped ball. Not to mention stranding runners in bases loaded situations.
Aaargh.
