First, pretty boy Bradd Pitt looks really rough in this movie. Not in anyway. He looks really scuzzy, and acts really scuzzy. Thus turning off his core audiance, younge women.
Second, you are totally right. Dogma would have killed this weekend. There nothing but Fight Club opening this weekend that a guy without a threat of no sex would go see. Chick flick does not even come close to describing both Double Jeopardy (a woman wronged getting revenge) and Random Hearts (two wronged people finding love with each other. NOthing like a huge tragedy to bring love together.)
My question is, how did this movie get made? It was one of the worst movies i have seen lately, with the biggest "indie" heat since "Rushmore".
just me

how did brad get gwenith?
hypnosis?
: I recall that during the past summer, Dogma had a tentative release date of Oct. 15 (or last Friday for those of us who only look at the top part of our calenders where the bikini chicks are) and several people around here were bummed because they believed that Fight Club (and, to a lesser degree, Random Hearts) was going to pummel the Askew flick not unlike one Tyler Durden. But glancing at the B.O. chart for the weekend, Fight Club ranked a mere third with $10 mil while Double Jeopardy continued its stay at number 1 (what in the name of Jefferson D'Arcy is the big deal with that movie; it looks like something the USA network would squeeze in between Wings and WCW). Dogma would have likely ruled this weekend and possibly the next two or three (or until whenever Bats opens). I just think it's too bad because November is going to be brutal. I'm sure the good folks at Lion's Gate know what they're doing, but I just think that this may have been a bad move.
: Actually, I kinda just wanted to discuss Fight Club's underperformance and Film-411 wouldn't let me in for some reason. Number 3 with $10 million?! What happened?
